Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Data and AI Solutions Architect to lead data-centric solutions across Azure and AI platforms. You will influence cross-functional teams, shape data architectures, and guide DevOps-style implementations while mentoring others.

The role requires strong communication, cloud and database expertise, and a track record of delivering complex projects on time in a hybrid US environment. Remote options within the US are possible for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a data-intensive role.
• 3+ years building solutions in a DevOps-first culture.
• Experience delivering Gen AI capabilities in production.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Stats or related field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud storage/compute tech (Azure SQL, Cosmos, Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake).
• DevOps skillset: PowerShell, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Containers, Keys Vault, Entra.
• Understanding of relational DB concepts.
• Windows platform admin experience.
• Proven problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Influence leaders to plan and prioritize work and ensure delivery of business application support.
• Partner with project teams to embrace emerging technologies.
• Develop and research technologies like Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, Azure SQL, Data Factory, and OpenAI.
• Define data-centric solutions to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with dev teams on design strategies and data architecture.
• Perform testing with criteria, scripts, and scenarios; document results.
• Provide ongoing support, monitoring, inquiries, and on-call duties.
• Create and maintain documentation per established processes.
