Job summary

Eaton's Global Distributed IT organization in Woodridge, IL, is seeking a Technical Project Engineer - Data Center Solutions for a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days remote). You will serve as the technical liaison across customers, sales, project managers, engineering, manufacturing, procurement and suppliers to ensure successful delivery of large-scale data center projects.

The role requires translating customer requirements into actionable deliverables, driving cross-functional alignment

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering, project management, sales, marketing or product support.
Ability to travel up to 35%.
No relocation benefit; within 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL; US work authorization required.
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead customer discussions to understand requirements, clarify technical needs, and communicate Eaton solutions.
Facilitate customer meetings, document requirements, track open items, and coordinate follow-up activities.
Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution overviews to customers and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate internal responses to customer questions and communicate resolutions in a timely and professional manner.
