Job summary

Eaton’s Global Distributed IT organization seeks a Technical Project Engineer - Data Center Solutions in Woodridge, IL, a hybrid role serving as a technical liaison among customers, sales teams, project managers, engineering, and suppliers for large-scale data center projects.

You will translate customer requirements into actionable deliverables, drive cross-functional alignment, and support project execution from initial engagement through delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering, project management, sales, marketing or product support.
• Ability to travel up to 35%.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead customer discussions to understand requirements and communicate Eaton solutions.
• Facilitate customer meetings, document requirements, track open items, and coordinate follow-up activities.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution overviews to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal responses to customer questions and communicate resolutions in a timely and professional manner.
