Job summary

Eaton, a global power management company, seeks a Technical Project Engineer - Data Center Solutions in Woodridge, IL. This hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days remote) coordinates between customers, sales, PMs, engineering, and suppliers to drive large-scale data center projects to successful delivery.

The role focuses on translating requirements into deliverables, aligning teams, and managing risks to meet schedule and customer expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
At least five years in engineering, project management, sales, marketing or product support.
Ability to travel up to 35%.
No relocation benefit; candidates within 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL preferred.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead customer discussions to understand requirements and communicate Eaton solutions.
Document requirements, track open items, and coordinate follow-up activities.
Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution overviews to customers and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate internal responses to customer questions and communicate resolutions promptly.
