Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an ICT Telecom Section Manager to lead telecommunications design on data center projects. You will oversee structured cabling, telecom room design, and inside/outside plant work, coordinating with SME leaders and designers.

The role spans multiple concurrent projects with a focus on timely delivery. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of lead experience in telecom cabling, 2+ years managing a small team, and a PE or RCDD preference.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience leading Telecommunications structured cabling designs.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a small team.
• RCDD credential or ability to obtain within a year.
• Experience with data center construction and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead a team of leads across multiple projects and clients.
• Forecast projects and staff resources; manage budgets.
• Mentor project leads through the design process.
• Review DIV 27 specs and modify as needed.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure deadlines are met through active communication with department and telecom leads.
