Job summary

Cathedral Arts Project is seeking a Data Analyst for a hybrid role in Jacksonville, FL. The position reports to the Vice President of Advocacy & Community Engagement and focuses on evaluating programs and improving data use across CAP.

You will design measurement tools, develop dashboards, and translate analyses into actionable insights for funders, donors, and CAP leadership. The role requires collaboration with university partners and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in program evaluation, including designing logic models, outcome indicators, and measurement tools for grant-funded programs.
• Advanced quantitative analysis using SQL, R, and/or Python with relational databases or data platforms.
• Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations that communicate outcomes clearly.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into narratives for non-technical audiences including board members, funders, and donors.
• Experience collaborating with third-party evaluators, university research partners, and external data sources.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with durable processes beyond a single grant or staff member.
• Master’s degree in a related field or a bachelor’s with equivalent professional experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in education, youth development, or K-12 settings is preferred but not required.
• Must pass Level 2 background screening as per Florida state law.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a unified evaluation framework with a theory of change and logic model.
• Consolidate information needs for reporting across CAP.
• Perform in-house quantitative analysis using SQL, R, and Python.
• Build dashboards for real-time visibility into outcomes.
• Oversee data reporting and evaluation for all active grants.
• Liaise with third-party evaluators and university partners.
• Translate analysis into narratives and data-driven recommendations for stakeholders.
• Establish organization-wide data quality standards.
• Document methodology to ensure scalability and staff turnover.
• Coordinate with Data & Survey Coordinator to meet framework standards.
• Review dashboards and incoming data daily; flag items for review.
• Dedicate time to cleaning, analyzing and visualizing data.
• Meet with Program Directors to align indicators and data needs for grants.
• Coordinate with external researchers and present findings to CAP leadership.
