Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to join the Global Analytics & Decision Sciences (GADS) team in Norman, Oklahoma, on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on data preparation, analysis, reporting, and storytelling with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Product Management.

This position suits recent graduates or those starting their analytics career, offering hands-on learning with experienced colleagues and opportunities to develop BI and data science

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, CS, Information Systems, or similar).
• Foundational SQL experience through coursework or internships.
• Foundational experience with Python or R.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of Excel for data analysis.
• Basic understanding of analytics concepts: descriptive statistics, data validation, regression, classification, etc.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Understand business questions with stakeholders and document requirements.
• Gather, clean, and prepare data from multiple sources for analysis.
• Explore data, run analyses, and develop reports or visualizations.
• Help maintain Power BI dashboards, datasets, and documentation.
• Perform descriptive analytics to identify trends and outliers.
• Define and validate key business metrics and KPIs.
• Communicate findings via visuals, summaries, and presentations.
