Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Global Analytics & Decision Sciences team. You will analyze complex data from diverse sources, translate insights into action, and support executive decision-making across finance and business functions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience, strong Python/SQL skills, cloud and data visualization expertise, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional analytics initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years as a Data Scientist or similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with data engineering experience.
• Experience with statistical analysis, ML techniques, and data mining.
• Experience with diverse data sources and reporting tools.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Strong data visualization and storytelling using Power BI and Excel.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced analytics and modeling to support strategic decisions.
