Hitachi Vantara seeks a Senior Data Scientist to join the Global Analytics & Decision Sciences (GADS) team in Dallas. You will collaborate with services, sales, marketing, product, and finance to analyze diverse data sources, translate insights into action, and support executive decision-making.

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience, strong analytical skills, and expertise in Python, SQL, ML, and data visualization. The role emphasizes data-driven strategy and cross-functional impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in data science or quantitative/technical roles.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with data wrangling and scalable processing.
• Experience with statistical analysis and ML techniques to derive insights.
• Experience with multiple data sources, data platforms, and reporting tools.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and strong data visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytics needs into data/analytics solutions.
• Provide leadership in advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and prescriptive analytics.
• Synthesize insights across financials, products, geography, and customer segments.
• Design scalable data solutions using Python/SQL, data platforms, cloud tech, and Power BI.
• Lead cross-functional projects and present findings to management/executives.
• Mentor junior team members and promote AI/ML adoption across the team.
