Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to administer and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler SWG, and cloud security across AWS and Azure. You will design secure connectivity and VPNs, support 10,000+ users, and collaborate with global teams to improve security posture.

You will contribute automation via Python/PowerShell and participate in incident response with ITIL-aligned processes. Hybrid work with two telecommuting days per week is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years of cyber security engineering experience.
• Experience with firewalls, proxies, and Active Directory.
• Experience with DNS, IP, NAT, VLANs, and subnetting.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, and Java.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and with Agile/DevOps.

Responsabilités

• Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls with security policies and threat prevention services.
• Design and support secure connectivity solutions including Site-to-Site VPNs and Client VPNs.
• Manage Zscaler SWG to enforce internet access controls and enterprise security policies.
• Provide Tier 3 cybersecurity and network support for 10,000+ users across 353+ locations.
• Support data center infrastructures with redundancy and secure interconnectivity.
• Administer security for hybrid cloud environments in AWS and Azure; handle incidents via ServiceNow per ITIL.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline tasks.
