Network Security Engineer

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join on a direct-hire basis in Cary, NC. This hybrid position requires on-site work three days per week (Tuesday – Thursday) and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in cloud security posture management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade firewall solutions, including next-gen firewalls, to enforce network security policies.
• Deploy security tools in cloud environments, such as CASB, WAFs, and native cloud security services.
• Deploy SASE solutions integrating security capabilities for distributed networks.
• Implement centralized identity and access management systems following least privilege principles.
• Utilize Microsoft Security Suite tools for threat detection and response across environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with in-depth experience with Palo Alto.
• Hands‑on experience with Zscaler.
• Cloud‑first mindset—on‑prem‑only experience is a disqualifier.
