Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Customs Specialist to protect compliance and minimize risk while ensuring smooth cargo movement through the customs clearance process. You will act as a trusted customs expert, handling complex exceptions, agency examinations, and high-impact shipment issues to deliver exceptional service.

The role supports on-site collaboration three days a week with remote flexibility two days weekly, following a Wednesday–Sunday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of entry-writing experience in international transportation.
• Familiarity with HTS and supply chain concepts preferred.
• Knowledge of ABI/AMS queries or entry summaries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate customs entry data for accuracy and timely cargo clearance.
• Resolve complex customs exceptions and regulatory concerns.
• Manage government agency holds and customs examinations (CBP, FDA, CPSC, VACIS, CET).
• Partner with customs brokers and internal teams to ensure seamless import clearance.
