Job summary

Newark and Sherwood District Council is seeking a Customer Service Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Notts. You will join the busy Customer Services Team, handling face-to-face, phone, and online enquiries with a focus on excellent resident support.

The role requires strong communication and ICT skills, a flexible approach to work patterns, and the ability to travel to outreach locations within the district. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, keyboard and numeracy skills required.
• Experience in a customer-oriented environment and using ICT systems to record information.
• Ability to meet targets and work with online systems; GCSEs English/Maths.

Responsibilities

• Deal with a wide range of customer enquiries in person, by phone, webchat and social media.
• Work at Castle House or outreach centres and travel to outreach locations within the district.
• Prioritise tasks and respond flexibly to a changing workload.
