Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator for a major LNG project in Corpus Christi, TX. You will perform non-routine cost estimating, review trends, and implement cost control requirements while presenting findings to Senior Management.

The role blends in-person collaboration with partial telework, requiring at least three days per week on-site at the office or project. You will work with engineers and procurement to drive cost effectiveness and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of engineering, procurement, contracting, construction and startup processes.
• Experience with cost studies using historical data and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs generally non-routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
• Supports Change Manager with trend estimate and familiar with estimating line details.
• Coordinates the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports.
• Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports.
• Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency.
• Prepares specific budgets and trend uploads in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
