Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator in Houston to develop Type I-IV CAPEX and OPEX estimates for major projects. The role requires strong knowledge of estimating practices, procurement interfaces, and MS Excel/Access tools. Local candidates in Houston/Baton Rouge are preferred, with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates across project phases, establishing WBS, and guiding project teams to ensure accurate, timely estimates and adherence to Worley procedures.

Qualifications

• Thorough estimating skills with practical experience on large projects.
• Knowledge of local and international standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in project engineering and management with specialized estimating expertise.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates in accordance with approved procedures across project phases (Pre-FEED/FEED).
• Develop estimating standards, procedures and systems for tenders and proposals.
• Provide cost estimating guidance to projects and stakeholders.
• Define an appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) per customer/project requirements.
• Coordinate data, scope and quantities to support accurate estimates.
• Identify risks, quantify contingencies and benchmark against norms.
