Job summary

Worley, a global energy, chemicals and resources expert, seeks an experienced Cost Estimator to develop CAPEX and OPEX estimates for major projects. You will work on estimating for Pre-FEED through FEED, integrating engineering, procurement, fabrication, transport, and commissioning costs, with extensive use of Excel and specialized tools.

You will lead estimation activities, develop standards, and provide guidance to projects, with 60+ hour weeks as needed; travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Strong estimating capabilities for large projects and tenders.
• Ability to define WBS and estimation methodologies.
• Experience with risk assessment and Monte Carlo analysis.
• Willingness to travel and work in Houston/Baton Rouge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for Pre-FEED and FEED phases.
• Develop estimating standards and procedures for tenders and proposals.
• Provide cost estimating guidance to projects.
• Define Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) per project requirements.
• Prepare estimate plans and estimation principles.
• Review quantities and scope for completeness and accuracy.
• Support data integration across all work scopes into estimates.
• Identify innovative solutions to estimation challenges.
• Benchmark costs against previous estimates and industry norms.
• Develop owners cost and contingency levels.
• Present cost data to management and customers.
