Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Corporate Attorney or Partner for its Chicago, IL office. The role offers a hybrid work schedule and a compensation range of $175,000 to $250,000 per year.

The candidate will provide legal advice on corporate matters, draft and negotiate key agreements, advise on governance, and oversee due diligence in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include a JD, 5+ years in corporate law, IL bar admission, excellent drafting/negotiation, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• At least 5 years of corporate law experience.
• Admitted to the IL state bar.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Professional communication skills and confidentiality.
• Understanding of corporate governance and secretarial duties.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate merger, partnership, stock purchase, and related agreements.
• Advise on corporate governance, including resolutions and charters.
• Counsel on corporate structure, rights, obligations, and privileges.
• Assist with preparation and filing of required legal documents with entities.
• Oversee due diligence and advise on risk management and mitigation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance.
• Stay updated on laws and business needs to support the organization.
