Job summary

General Motors seeks a Software Engineer to produce and deliver software for embedded controls systems across electrification, autonomous, engine, transmission, or chassis spaces. You will design and implement requirements for mechatronic controls and diagnostics, test functionality, and work within an inclusive Agile Scrum team reporting to VMEC.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science and two years' experience with embedded software, C/C++, auto code

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer or related role with embedded controls software, and proficiency in C/C++ and Auto Code Generation; experience with Java, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and INCA.

Responsibilities

Produce and deliver software for embedded controls systems across electrification, autonomous, engine, transmission, or chassis domains.
Design, develop, and implement requirements for mechatronic controls and diagnostics strategies.
Test and demonstrate software functionality and readiness.
Document requirements linked to test cases and use automated test tools in build environments, benches, and vehicles.
Participate in an Agile Scrum team and collaborate with VMEC departments.
