Aescape Inc. is a NYC-based robotics and AI company redefining recovery through hardware-grade bodywork and software-enabled experiences.

The Controller will own the end-to-end accounting function, partner with Operations/Supply Chain and Revenue Operations, and help scale the finance function as the company grows. This hands-on role requires deep GAAP knowledge, strong process discipline, and the ability to implement automation in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years accounting experience, including 2+ years in hardware/manufacturing or consumer electronics.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Experience applying AI/automation to accounting workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the end-to-end accounting function, including general ledger, close, reporting, AP/AR, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Partner with Operations/Supply Chain on inventory accounting, COGS, landed costs, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Revenue Operations on AR, billing, collections, and order-to-cash processes.
• Establish and improve internal controls, policies, and close processes under GAAP.
