Aescape is a New York-based physical AI and robotics company redefining human recovery through intelligent, precision bodywork.

The Principal Mechanical Engineer will own the mechanical master model and drive system-level integration across the robot, leading design, prototyping, and validation while partnering with contract manufacturers and suppliers. Open to on-site NYC or greater Boston area with regular travel to NYC.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in actuators, drivetrains or complex motorized assemblies.
• Experience owning mechanical architecture and system-level integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical master model and drive system-level integration across actuators, drivetrain, structure.
• Lead design, analysis, prototyping, and validation of mechanical subsystems.
• Set design methodology, CAD standards, FEA, tolerances, and reviews.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and improve manufacturability.
• Collaborate with suppliers, CM, and cross-functional teams for production transfer.
