Job summary

Express Employment International is seeking a Contracts Specialist to join our Legal team at our Oklahoma City headquarters. This role provides hands‑on support for contract lifecycle management, drafting and reviewing agreements, negotiating key contract provisions, legal research, lease review, and responding to legal inquiries from the company and its franchisees.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• At least 3 years of related experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• In-house experience, paralegal, or college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support contract lifecycle management for commercial contracts and corporate transactions.
• Draft, review, and edit agreements for company and franchisees under attorney supervision.
• Lead negotiations on indemnity, insurance, warranties, liability, and risk allocations.
• Draft staffing agreements with internal subject matter experts.
• Review lease agreements for high-risk issues and escalate when needed.
• Triage and respond to legal inquiries via phone, email, and other channels.
• Organize and maintain contract files, templates, and documentation systems.
• Provide attorney support and handle clerical tasks as assigned.
