Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Contracts Director in San Jose, CA, to lead the contracts function and implement strategies ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company objectives. You will report to the Sr Director of Contracts and work on-site with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing/negotiating contracts.
• Strong background in business law and contract management.
• Experience leading teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to interpret terms and conditions and identify risk.

Responsibilities

• Direct administration of assigned contracts including negotiating, preparing, reviewing, approving, and terminating contractual documents to ensure protection of company's contractual posture.
• Direct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications.
• Identify high level legal or contractual issues, lead the development of solutions and provide guidance to management on resolving highly complex issues while ensuring the contract administration process supports the objectives of the program areas.
• Advise management of contractual rights, issues, and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions.
• Coordinate review of solicitations and assist in drafting proposals to ensure customer objectives are satisfied and company interests are protected.
• Act as primary contact for contracts activities and issues. Represent the company with senior level customers, potential customers and government representatives.
