Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company is seeking a Contracts Analyst (Supply Chain) to support Category Managers, Strategic Procurement, and Procurement staff. The role covers drafting, negotiating, and redlining contracts, while mitigating legal and operational risks across supplier agreements.

You will develop and maintain contract templates, deliver training on contracting best practices, and provide subject matter expertise through negotiations and procurement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Law or related field is required.
• Five (5) years of paralegal, legal and/or contract administration experience; or nine years equivalent with no degree.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating contracts; risk assessment; and knowledge of contract templates.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, negotiates, awards and manages contracts, subcontracts and agreements with Category Managers and Strategic Procurement.
• Manages contract documentation process; reviews redline responses; identifies unacceptable terms; assists with negotiations.
• Summarizes significant exceptions and obtains attorney approvals when necessary.
• Develops terms and conditions balancing business unit and supplier requirements; ensures contract documents meet standards.
• Develops contracting approaches aligned with category strategies and value objectives.
• Performs post-contract audits to check compliance with policies and regulatory commitments.
• Analyzes historical contract performance to update templates and tools.
• Enters contract data into systems and trains staff on contract tools and processes.
