Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. in Atlanta seeks an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter for the Contract Surety division.

The role combines technical underwriting with market-facing responsibilities, including developing new surety business and managing existing accounts. The position requires expertise in surety lines, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years in underwriting/market facing area
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6+ years in claims/underwriting support
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and experience in underwriting/market facing area
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and experience in claims/underwriting support area

Responsibilities

• Production and underwriting of new Surety accounts and existing business
• Internal marketing and production to support cross-sell efforts
• Execution of the external marketing strategy
• Adherence to underwriting rules and regulatory guidelines
• Establish new and develop existing agency and broker relationships
• Work within limits and authorities on assignments of varying complexity
