Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Contract Recruiting Coordinator to support our recruiting team with interview scheduling, candidate communication, travel arrangements, and day-to-day coordination across multiple functions. You will use Ashby and recruiting tools to stay organized, manage high-volume scheduling globally, and help ensure a smooth candidate experience while maintaining professionalism and urgency.

This temporary role can be based in San Francisco, NY, or Seattle, and follows a hybrid model

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a fast paced recruiting coordinator position.
• Strong focus on candidate experience and guest-like treatment of applicants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed with urgency and proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact for candidates; coordinate, schedule, and manage interviews including travel and accommodations when needed.
• Use Ashby and recruiting tools to stay organized and help keep the team on track.
• Support OpenAI's recruiting team across multiple functions with scheduling and task completion.
• Handle high-volume global interview scheduling: phone screens, video calls, and onsite interviews.
• Communicate updates to candidates regarding application/interview status.
• Develop strong candidate and stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels.
