Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Governance Engineer to own the hands-on administration and day-to-day operation of the platform's data governance and security tooling in Glendale, CA. The role involves configuring Snowflake Horizon, Immuta, Anomalo, and Alation within an agile data services team.

You will be the first line of support for alerts and access questions, work with platform engineering and SRE, and translate governance policy into technical configuration while codifying controls and

Qualifications

• Experience with data governance tooling such as Immuta or similar.
• Experience with data quality tools such as Anomalo or Monte Carlo.
• Experience with data catalog/tools such as Alation, Collibra or Purview.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code and CI/CD for platform config.
• Experience with IAM tooling such as SailPoint or Okta.
• Ability to test vendor evaluations and proofs of concept.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Snowflake Horizon and native Snowflake security features.
• Implement and maintain access governance policies in Immuta.
• Configure and monitor data quality checks and alerts.
• Maintain the data catalog and ensure datasets are discoverable.
• Automate governance configuration and document runbooks and procedures.
• Collaborate with platform engineering and SRE on complex issues and tooling integration.
