HMG America LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Specialist with strong Alation expertise to lead enterprise data catalog implementations. You will manage deployment, metadata harvesting, lineage, and compliance workflows in a remote, US-based role.

You will collaborate with data stewards, engineers, and business stakeholders to enable data democratization while maintaining data security and privacy across Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, and BI tools like Tableau and Power BI.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in Data Management, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• 3+ years hands-on Alation administration and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data architectures (Snowflake, AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/REST APIs for automation.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and documentation skills.

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Alation deployments tailored to business needs.
• Establish and automate data lineage across Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift and BI tools.
• Enforce RBAC, data masking, sensitivity tagging, and GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with data stewards and domain owners to curate data dictionaries and glossaries.
• Build and maintain API integrations and data connectors for metadata harvesting.
• Serve as SME for platform troubleshooting and user access issues.
