Colorado PERA is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of our enterprise data governance program. Working with the Data Governance Program Manager, you will help ensure data is trusted, secure, well-documented, and used to drive reporting, analytics, and modernization efforts.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or related field with 2+ years in data governance, analytics, or related area.
• Proficiency with data governance concepts: ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data quality, governance artifacts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools; discretion handling sensitive information.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Data Governance Program Manager in implementing and maintaining PERA’s enterprise data governance framework.
• Document data ownership, stewardship roles, decision rights, and accountability structures across units.
• Coordinate data governance forums, working groups, and stewardship meetings; track actions and follow-up.
• Build and maintain a data stewardship community with documentation, training materials, and ongoing support.
• Document data definitions, business rules, metrics, and governance decisions for consistency across domains.
• Maintain governance documentation that is accessible and version-controlled.
