Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Solution Engineer - Data Governance to design, build, and maintain automation and integrations for the organization's governance program. You will translate governance needs into scalable software and self-service capabilities for governed data assets.

The role requires hands-on Python programming, experience with data governance tooling (Purview/Databricks/Collibra/Informatica/Alation), and collaboration with data stewards to ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 2+ years building software utilities, automations, or data tooling in data governance or data engineering.
• Experience in healthcare or Revenue Cycle Management is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience; preferred certifications listed in the ad.
• Strong Python proficiency for utilities, automations, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Purview including cataloging, classification, and lineage.
• Experience integrating systems via REST APIs and SDKs; SQL querying.
• Familiarity with governance platforms (Purview/Databricks/Collibra/Informatica/Alation) and Power BI.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle management and data architecture.
• Understanding HIPAA/GDPR compliance; strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; healthcare data familiarity a plus.
• Curiosity and openness to AI-enabled process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain utilities and automation scripts for data governance.
• Develop solutions to close gaps in governance and cataloging tooling.
• Build and maintain integrations using APIs and SDKs.
• Automate data cataloging, classification, and metadata management.
• Collaborate with data stewards to translate policies into code and enforce them.
• Automate data classification and sensitivity labeling to protect data.
• Configure and monitor catalog scans and metadata harvesting; remediate failures.
• Build data lineage tracking for traceability across systems.
• Develop self-service workflows for data products.
• Create low-code/no-code solutions for self-service of governed data assets.
• Maintain governance coverage metrics and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory data governance requirements; document code and procedures.
• Contribute to tooling improvements and corrective actions.
• Stay updated on healthcare data regulations and adapt the program.
