Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is assisting a premier AmLaw 100 firm in recruiting a Career Associate Attorney for its Consumer Financial Services Practice Group.

The role is hybrid with locations listed across several states. The candidate will handle complex consumer financial services and commercial litigation for leading financial institutions, manage cases independently, and collaborate with senior partners in a nationally coordinated team.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academics.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction in good standing.
• 5–10 years of substantive litigation experience.
• Experience with commercial litigation and representation of financial institutions preferred.
• Background defending matters under FCRA, FDCPA, and/or TCPA advantageous.
• Ability to independently manage cases, lead projects and supervise juniors.
• Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle a broad range of consumer financial services litigation, including commercial disputes and matters involving federal and state consumer protection laws.
• Participate in hearings, depositions, motions practice, and other proceedings across state and federal courts.
• Provide legal advice and regulatory guidance, communicate case strategy and developments, and support investigations.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and related litigation documents.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on high-impact matters within a collaborative, nationally coordinated team.
