Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Construction to lead and manage construction projects from Shakopee, MN. The role focuses on coordinating clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The PM will develop schedules, manage budgets, and oversee subcontractors, while utilizing Procore and Bluebeam. A 4-year Construction Management degree is preferred, with 3+ years PM experience in retail/construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year Construction Management degree preferred.
• Experience in construction management, change order handling, and project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction and construction documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor employees.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients; provide regular updates and manage client expectations.
• Develop detailed construction schedules with milestones and deliverables.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Prepare bids and proposals for executive review.
• Create comprehensive project plans and manage execution for on-time delivery.
• Recruit and coordinate internal teams and subcontractors.
• Manage budgets, aligning with contracts and financial targets.
• Allocate resources (staff, vendors, subcontractors) efficiently.
• Provide strategic direction and daily leadership to project teams.
• Monitor progress and report performance to leadership.
• Oversee change management processes to maintain alignment.
• Review and approve vendor invoices.
• Analyze variances and present lessons learned to executives.
• Manage expenses and report profitability and performance metrics.
• Prepare and approve client billings and ensure timely invoicing.
• Use Bluebeam for markup and document review; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Use Procore for documentation, RFIs, submittals, daily logs, and overall PM tasks.
• Travel to job sites as needed to support project execution and client satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work nights/weekends as required.
