GFT in North Carolina is seeking a Construction Inspector III to join our Construction Services Team in NC offices. This role follows a hybrid work model with regular attendance at a North Carolina office.

The inspector will oversee construction, perform material testing, and manage project documentation to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards. The candidate will serve as a primary client contact, coordinate with contractors, and maintain logs, pay estimates, and change

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of construction inspection experience.
• Safety-first mindset and strong communication skills.
• Experience with highway projects or transportation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee construction work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Serve as daily point of contact with clients and contractors.
• Manage project documentation, pay estimates, and change orders.
• Maintain daily construction and inspection logs for progress tracking.
• Ensure safety practices and quality standards on site.
• Utilize AASHTOWare, e-Builder, or Transport for document management.
