Job summary

GHD is seeking a Construction Engineer to join our Northern California team (Redding, Concord, Oakland, Santa Rosa, CA). You will deliver construction phase support for multiple projects up to $10M, coordinating with clients and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in a hybrid office model.

Ideal candidates have minimum 3 years of construction-related experience, an EIT is preferred, and familiarity with web-based document management and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience using MS Office Suite and web-based document management systems.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management and office engineering support for water, transportation, coastal, environmental and energy projects across the region.
• Coordinate communications between project teams, clients and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support development, review and tracking of contract documents, schedules, costs, and staffing.
• Oversee contractor compliance with permits, design specs and drawings; track pay estimates and payment issues.
• Coordinate with the Program Management Office; manage document control and project correspondence.
• Assist in project closeout activities and start-up/testing/optimization of equipment and processes.
