Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to support risk management by analyzing and resolving conflicts in new client and matter intake, drafting waivers, and implementing information barriers.

The role involves collaboration with partners and Professional Responsibility Counsel to assist in new business intake and ensuring proper conflict clearance in a hybrid US office environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ direct experience in conflicts or new business intake within a law firm.
• Experience writing and communicating in a business environment to present information clearly.
• Paralegal certificate or similar credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets, and summarizes conflict report results.
• Analyzes and resolves potential legal and business conflicts.
• Implements information barriers and ensures proper notification to affected personnel.
• Drafts formal email waivers and conflict waiver letters to document conflicts.
• Maintains conflict information in the financial database with related party data and narratives.
• Reviews new business intake forms to identify conflicts and ensures accurate clearance.
• Maintains internal conflicts database and documentation.
• Performs corporate research on all parties involved in new business requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
