Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP seeks a Conflicts Analyst to manage conflicts research from initial review through clearance for proposed new matters. You will identify client relationships and structures that may present conflicts, and draft engagement and waiver letters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Five+ years in a professional environment or two+ years in a legal environment.
• At least one year of conflicts analysis experience.
• Strong issue identification, research and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, accurate work in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to perform all functions of the conflicts process.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-depth conflicts research using internal and external databases to identify client relationships, corporate structures, affiliates and connections.
• Independently manages the conflicts research and clearance process from submission to resolution.
• Communicates with partners, associates and staff to obtain missing or clarifying information.
• Prepares written conflicts analyses and evaluates issues under firm policies and rules of professional conduct.
• Drafts engagement letters, conflict waiver letters, and related documentation for matter opening and compliance.
• Maintains multiple pending requests and provides timely updates on clearance status.
