Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a hybrid Component Engineer to support obsolescence management, BOM development, and supplier collaboration across program phases. You will own part evaluations, interface drawings, and verification plans with cross-functional teams including PDE, ECAD, and IPTs to ensure robust component performance.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and 2+ years of experience, with exposure to PDM, data analysis, and agile tools such as Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in component engineering and related disciplines.
• Experience in Product Data Management (PDM) systems and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage component obsolescence and risk coding across programs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, designers, PDE, ECAD, and IPTs.
• Develop and update source control drawings (SCDs, VICDs, SIDs).
• Prepare component evaluation matrices and verification plans.
• Lead BOM development and part standardization efforts.
