Job summary

Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a mid-level associate (4–6 years of experience) to join our complex litigation group. The role focuses on defending clients in high-stakes, complex matters with emphasis on product liability and commercial issues in the aviation and transportation sectors.

Position open to all US offices. The candidate should have excellent writing skills, broad litigation experience across all stages, and strong academic credentials, with clerkship experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing demonstrated through clerkship, law review, moot court or publication.
• Experience with all stages of litigation: pre-trial discovery, motions, experts, trial.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Commitment to excellent client service and client-centered practice.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues: contracts, jurisdiction, choice-of-law, admiralty.
• Clerkship experience, especially appellate level, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters of national and international significance, with emphasis on aviation and transportation sectors.
• Work collaboratively within a cross-office team to manage all phases of litigation from discovery through trial.
