Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with a private research university in the Washington, DC area to hire a Compensation Analyst. You will join the Total Rewards team to administer compensation programs, analyze market data, and advise business partners on pay-related decisions in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes data-driven recommendations, pay equity, and ensuring competitive compensation practices aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

2–4+ years of professional compensation experience required.
Human Resources Generalist experience is acceptable with compensation knowledge.
Experience conducting market pricing, benchmarking, and salary survey analysis.
Ability to interpret data and provide independent pay recommendations.
Proficiency with compensation regulations including FLSA, pay equity, and wage/hour compliance.

Responsibilities

Evaluate staff positions to determine classifications and FLSA status.
Review and analyze job descriptions for consistency with standards.
Support new positions, reclassifications, reorganizations, promotions, and workforce planning.
Conduct compensation benchmarking using market surveys and data.
