Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) seeks a Community Education Coordinator to coordinate and participate in community health education and injury prevention programs under our ambulance provider contract, ensuring contract compliance across communities in Southeast Alaska.

The role is hybrid in Southeast Alaska, with duties including developing program plans with health departments and partners, scheduling BLS CPR classes, coordinating events, securing grants, and maintaining records for annual

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or presenting to diverse audiences.
• Public relations/communications experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate community health education programs.

Responsibilities

• Assess injury data and health concerns in communities served.
• Develop targeted health education program plans with partners.
• Deliver and evaluate community education programs for GMR NW.
• Plan and coordinate community events, health fairs, and exhibits.
• Assist with grant funding opportunities and grant writing.
• Coordinate education requests from EMS agencies and partners.
• Attend area public education coalitions and meetings.
• Support BLS Community Training Center: schedule and teach CPR classes, coordinate PAD programs, arrange facilities and equipment, and assist with mass training.
