Job summary

Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA) is seeking a full-time, temporary Case Manager to expand access to domestic violence, legal, and social-service resources in the Antelope Valley and LA County. You will develop outreach initiatives, provide short-term case management, and connect participants to services through partnerships with colleges and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in social services or related field.
• Experience providing case management, outreach, or direct services to low-income individuals/families.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, and interdisciplinary teams; maintain timely documentation.
• Ability to work independently in community settings and with a legal/social services team.
• Must be willing to travel regularly to the Antelope Valley and other LA County locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intakes, screenings, and needs assessments to identify appropriate resources.
• Provide short-term case management, referrals, and follow-up to connect clients with services.
• Assist with planning and staffing community workshops, clinics, outreach events, and resource tables.
• Support outreach and recruitment for workshops on domestic violence, housing rights, and family-law resources.
• Develop relationships with community colleges, CalWORKs programs, and referral partners, especially in the Antelope Valley.
• Provide information and referrals and coordinate warm handoffs to legal and social services teams.
