Job summary

Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA) seeks a full-time Social Worker to support a Douglas Foundation-funded initiative expanding access to domestic violence, legal, and social-service resources.

The role involves trauma-informed assessment, brief intervention, case management, advocacy, and community workshops, with regular travel to the Antelope Valley and partnerships with colleges and community organizations.

Qualifications

• MSW degree from an accredited program with knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
• Experience providing direct social-work services and case management for low-income populations.
• Ability to travel regularly to Antelope Valley and other LA County locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop service plans for clients.
• Provide trauma-informed short-term interventions, crisis support, and safety planning.
• Coordinate with legal partners and community resources for integrated services.
• Develop and facilitate community workshops and educational presentations.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and program records.
