Job summary

MOHR Talent, an equal-opportunity engineering consultancy, seeks a Commissioning Project Manager in Oakland, CA, to lead a portfolio of Bay Area projects with a hybrid work setup and a competitive salary range of $145,000–$165,000 base.

You will own full-cycle commissioning, perform test development and functional testing, and collaborate with owners, designers, and vendors to ensure performance meets design intent.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commissioning, MEP, controls, or contractor-side project experience.
• Experience owning full-cycle commissioning and client relationships.
• Strong BAS/BMS, HVAC-controls, test-script, and functional-testing skills.
• Knowledge of California Title 24 and ASHRAE commissioning practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day commissioning lead for several concurrent client projects.
• Translate owner requirements and design intent into practical commissioning plans and test procedures.
• Evaluate BAS sequences, controls integration, system operation, and performance issues.
• Lead site observations and functional testing, document deficiencies, and drive issues through closure.
• Coordinate directly with owners, designers, contractors, controls vendors, and facilities teams.
• Remain involved after occupancy to verify performance and support final resolution.
