Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Appliance Repair Technician in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of commercial kitchen appliances. Qualifications

• Trade qualification or significant on-the-job training in appliance repair or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing commercial kitchen appliances.
• Strong knowledge of gas, electrical, and mechanical systems in commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with safety standards for gas appliances and electrical systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage on-site visits in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for service calls.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair various commercial kitchen appliances, including gas and electric ovens, steamers, fryers, griddles, and refrigeration units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and gas-related issues, identifying root causes of appliance malfunctions in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and in compliance with manufacturer specifications and local regulations.
• Manage service calls efficiently, providing timely and professional service to commercial clients.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools, and accurately report on work completed.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair status, recommendations, and estimates.
• Stay updated on new appliance technologies and repair techniques.
