Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with ability to analyze and present information.
• Three years of work-related experience in real estate appraisal or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead appraiser for an assigned property type (retail, multi-family, office, or special use).
• Review valuation aspects and recommend corrections when needed.
• Perform field investigations and complex appraisals for ad valorem taxation.
• Represent the Assessor's Office in appeal hearings.
• Explain tax laws and assessment procedures to taxpayers and attorneys.
