Qualifications

• 3–5 years of medical billing, coding, and/or compliance experience.
• Experience with FQHC, Medicaid/Medicare rules, and CMS guidance.
• Proficiency with EHR and practice management systems.
• CPC certification required; CCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation and charges to ensure correct ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Audit coding, billing and claims for CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 compliance.
• Monitor claims, pre-bill edits, denials, and payer feedback; identify errors and coordinate follow-up audits.
• Develop and maintain coding and billing compliance policies and training materials.
• Collaborate with providers and billing staff to ensure accurate documentation and compliant coding.
• Analyze denied or underpaid claims and work with teams to improve processes.
• Interpret payer updates and communicate changes to affected departments.
• Ensure compliance with FQHC PPS and encounter-based billing guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
