Job summary

Greater Farallones Association in San Francisco, CA seeks a Program Operations Coordinator to run the day-to-day operations of a growing coastal resilience program spanning multiple grants, partners, and deliverables.

Supervised by the Coastal Resilience Program Lead, this role builds systems, keeps projects on track, drafts progress reports and management-facing materials, and translates technical findings for agency partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years coordinating or managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Background in coastal, environmental, or marine science with non-technical translation.
  • Experience developing or improving systems, workflows, or tracking tools.
  • Ability to identify issues, gaps, or risks and address them proactively.
  • Strong writing skills for reports, presentations, or summaries.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • High level of organization, reliability, and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Own tracking of deliverables, deadlines, and reporting across grants.
  • Build and maintain program trackers, calendars, and internal systems.
  • Coordinate meetings with project partners, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the North-central California Coastal Sediment Coordination Committee.
  • Prepare first drafts of progress reports, presentations, and meeting summaries.
  • Synthesize information across projects into clear communications.
  • Identify gaps or bottlenecks and propose solutions to keep work moving.
  • Communicate across an interdisciplinary team on behalf of the Program Lead.
  • Draft deliverables and synthesize project findings across grants.
