Job summary

Actuator Technology Company (ATC) is seeking a Technology System Engineer to design, automate, and evolve secure, scalable infrastructure across Azure and on‑prem environments.

You will implement infrastructure as code and automation, support hybrid cloud services, and collaborate with security and application teams to sustain mission-critical operations. Relocation to Wisconsin within two hours of Pewaukee or Cottage Grove is required; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or hybrid environments.
• Experience with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, identity services).
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform or similar).
• Experience with infrastructure as code, configuration management, and repeatable deployment practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or modern platform technologies.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Nutanix).
• Knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with identity platforms (Active Directory, LDAP, Entra ID).
• Understanding networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support infrastructure platforms across Azure and on-prem environments.
• Design secure, resilient, and scalable solutions balancing cloud adoption with hybrid requirements.
• Build and maintain automation for provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operations.
• Engineer and support cloud services, virtual infrastructure, containers, and core platform services.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and drive root cause analysis for reliability and observability.
• Plan upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities across hybrid environments with other teams.
• Standardize platform patterns and reduce manual effort via automation and orchestration.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, recovery procedures, and implementation standards.
• Partner with security teams to identify and mitigate risk across cloud and on-prem services.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and response for critical infrastructure services.
