Job summary

ATC is seeking a Technology System Engineer to design, automate, and evolve secure, scalable infrastructure across Azure and on-prem systems. You’ll work in a hybrid environment with a strong emphasis on cloud services, IaC, and operational automation.

The role requires on-call rotation and relocation to Wisconsin within two hours of Pewaukee/Cottage Grove control centers; remote work is not available. Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in enterprise infrastructure are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or hybrid environments.
• Experience with Azure cloud services across IaaS, PaaS, and identity services.
• Experience with automation and scripting such as PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, configuration management, and repeatable deployment practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or modern application platform technologies.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with identity platforms such as Active Directory, LDAP, or Entra ID.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and connectivity across hybrid environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support infrastructure platforms across Azure and on-prem environments.
• Design secure, resilient, and scalable solutions balancing cloud adoption with hybrid ops.
• Build and maintain automation for provisioning, config, deployment, and ops using IaC and scripting.
• Engineer and support cloud services, virtual infrastructure, containers, and core platform services.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and lead root-cause analysis with emphasis on reliability and observability.
• Plan upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities across hybrid environments with cross-team collaboration.
• Standardize platform patterns and reduce manual effort through automation and repeatable engineering practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, recovery procedures, and implementation standards for cloud and hybrid platforms.
• Partner with security teams to identify and mitigate risk across cloud and on-prem services.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and response for business-critical infrastructure services.
