The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and automation, with travel to San Antonio, TX and periodic office presence in Columbia, MD. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in Platform Engineering or Software Development with a related degree.
• Experience with cloud infra, automation, and modern CI/CD tooling.
• Strong Linux, scripting, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture for software from prototype to production.
• Integrate open-source components and cloud tech to address complex problems.
• Act as a systems integrator to improve robustness of existing codebase.
• Travel to San Antonio, TX ~3–4 days every three months; hybrid work 1–2 days/week in Columbia, MD.
