Job summary

The role focuses on building and integrating cloud-based components, leveraging open-source software, and working autonomously toward Architects' strategic goals in a hybrid environment. You will develop infrastructure as code, optimize existing code bases, and contribute to big data/cloud projects.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Proficient with Kubernetes and Ansible; familiar with storage layers (Ceph, Rook, Longhorn).
• Programming experience in Python or Go and solid Linux/Shell scripting knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work in a hybrid office setting at Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core cloud platform architecture from prototype to production.
• Define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud using modern IaC tools.
• Develop and integrate software components with open-source projects to address complex problems.
• Collaborate with Architects and cross-functional teams to meet strategic goals.
